Sometimes you get seriously behind with your books even though you started out with full intentions of doing it all yourself. Or perhaps you gave your Quickbooks file to your CPA and they returned it saying you need to seriously clean it up before they can even begin to think about filing your taxes.
From fixing it all to training to holding your hand, we have an eye for making your interaction with Quickbooks as quick and efficient as possible. We strongly believe that incorporating coaching sessions in our work together will only help you reach your goal faster, so including financial coaching is part of what we do.
Our philosophy is that as a business owner, you should understand your financial statements and how things work in Quickbooks, even if you employ a bookkeeper. This is a process, so allow some time to become comfortable your books.

Our Process
Part 1 - We want to make sure we are a good fit for each other. Filling out this form will give us some good information on whether we should schedule our first complimentary phone call. We will follow up to schedule via email with a time to talk or give you some pointers on where you can go for help. Part 2 - We'll spend a half hour exploring the Quickbooks issues you are having and your goals. It may be that I'm not the best fit for what you need and its through this conversation that I determine that. If it looks like we should proceed, at this point, I still need more information to tell you how long it will take or what it will cost. Part 3 - Then I charge a fee to do a file review. This will allow me to see what is really going on in your file. We then schedule a one-hour meeting where I ask you more questions about what I've seen and clarify certain things about your business. Part 4 - Then I submit a proposal that includes a report of all the issues I've found in your file, my recommendations and what I can help you with. The cost will depend upon the complexity of your situation but I usually give three options: Option #1 Fix It All and Teach Me What To Do! This is the most comprehensive of our services. I take your file and fix all errors, enter any data, reconcile to date and give it back to you in perfect condition. Then we have a series of training sessions where I teach you what you need to to on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis to keep your Quickbooks file properly maintained. I leave you with instructions on everything so that once I am out of the picture, you have something to refer to. I also remain available over the phone for months after if you ever have questions. Option #2 Fix Some of It and Teach Me the Rest This is the mid-point of services. I take your file and will fix some errors, I may enter some data, but am relying on you to do the rest. Then we have a series of training sessions where I teach you what you need to to on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis to keep your Quickbooks file properly maintained. You'll have to create your own instructions but this usually includes a number of follow-up remote session phone calls to anwers questions that come up. This level usually includes a few training sessions and we may or may not cover all the issues, this will depend upon how quickly you learn and how quickly you complete any between-session homework. It is possible that we may need to reevaluate our progress and sign another proposal. |
Option #3 Show Me How to Fix It!
The most economical of our services. After the file review, I'll figure out the glitches and the process going forward and train you how to correct them all yourself and how to efficiently maintain Quickbooks. This level usually includes a few training sessions and we may or may not cover all the issues, this will depend upon how quickly you learn and how fast you complete any between-session homework. It is possible that we may need to reevaluate your progress and sign another proposal. Set Up My New Quickbooks File
There are a number of things that need to be done correctly when you first install Quickbooks, such as setting up your chart of accounts, entering your items list and selecting certain preferences, to name a few. After gathering important information about your company, I make sure the setup is done correctly. We go through the same process listed above, including meeting you face-to-face and a proposal with same three service levels. When you hire me to set up your file, we always include trainings. Learning how to use Quickbooks efficiently is our specialty and we want to make sure you know exactly what to do and not spin your wheels. Once the setup is done, expect to spend at least five to six hours of training with me. In my experience, depending upon complexity and your personal learning curve, it typically takes about 10 hours to take someone from zero to Quickbooks competant. Group Quickbooks Classes
